25 Days of Books for Christmas

We are in the thick of the holiday season! It’s so fun to watch a 2.5 year old take in all of the sights and sounds of Christmas, even though he still doesn’t quite understand what Santa is and why we get presents. 

Lately I’ve been thinking about starting our own family traditions for Christmas. The last thing we need is more ‘stuff’, but this idea is from a blogging friend, Renee at Eat Farm Love is just perfect, and I can’t wait to do it each year moving forward. Wrap a book for each day of Advent – if you don’t celebrate Advent, you can easily do the “25 books of Christmas.” Most of our books are Christmas related books that we had already. However, both mine and Noah’s moms shared a few to add to our countdown. It’s really helping my little guy understand what this holiday season is all about. Plus it’s a fun thing to do right before bed because what 2.5 year old doesn’t love opening presents.
