DESCRIPTION:The Chippewa Falls YMCA is excited to promote healthy living through the sales of fresh produce and other items while supporting local growers/vendors. Depending on vendor availability\, additional products from vendors will include homemade beauty products\, food trucks\, spices\, seasonings\, homemade salves\, flowers\, honey\, maple syrup\, and baked goods. Select dates will include free health screening for the public with no registration required. Refer to the poster for further details. \nMonday Market at the Y was developed to ensure FoodShare participants can use their electronic benefits transfer (EBT) cards to purchase eligible items\, helping more households access healthy foods and providing more potential buyers for vendors. \nPatrons who have been issued an authorized Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) /EBT card may purchase wooden tokens with purple print from Monday Market at the Y staff to buy SNAP-eligible products. These patrons will receive up to $10 in additional tokens each week through the Market Match program.\nVendors may accept cash or tokens. Patrons who use credit or debit cards to purchase tokens with orange print from Monday Market staff may use those tokens to buy any items at the market.\nTokens do not expire! \n
