Legends of the 715: Jake Dowell

With the Stanley Cup Playoffs continuing, lets take a look at another 715 hockey legend.

This week, we’re highlighting Jake Dowell.

Dowell was born in Eau Claire and attended Eau Claire Memorial High School. He also played college hockey for the Wisconsin Badgers from 2003-2007.

In 2004, the Chicago Blackhawks drafted Dowel in the 5 round of the NHL Draft.

Dowell jumped back and forth between the NHL and the AHL throughout his career. He played for the Blackhawks, the Dallas Stars, and the Minnesota Wild during his NHL career. He finished is career playing for the Steinbach Black Wings in the Austrian Hockey League for the 2017-18 season.

Dowell finished his NHL career playing in 157 games, scoring 11 goals, 22 assists, and 33 points.
