Legends of the 715: Daulton Varsho

We know the 715 has a rich history of baseball and many players with roots in the 715 have gone on to do some awesome things in baseball, including making it all the way to the majors. Daulton Varsho is one of those players.

Daulton is currently a player for the Arizona Diamondbacks where he plays both catcher and center field. He comes from a baseball family. His father, Gary, played in the majors and was a manager and coach. His uncle, Dale, is the manager of the Eau Claire Express.

He was born and raised in Marshfield, Wisconsin and graduated from high school there in 2014. He attended UW-Milwaukee where he played baseball as well and was named the Horizon League Player of the Year in 2016. The Arizona Diamondbacks selected him 68th overall in the 2017 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut on July 30, 2020 and is currently one of the best younger players in the league.
