Legends of the 715: Vern Fuller

We know the 715 has a rich history of baseball and baseball players. Let’s add another name to that list.

Vern Fuller was born in Menomonie, Wisconsin in 1944. He later moved to southern Califiornia where he attended what is now called California State University – Northridge and Arizona State University.

He signed with the Cleveland Indians in 1963 and made his big league debut as a pinch hitter on September 5, 1964. By 1968, he was Clevelands everyday starting second baseman. When his career ended in 1970, he finished with a .232 batting average, 14 home runs, and 65 RBI’s.
