5 Ways to Shop Local this Weekend

If shopping is your thing, why not make a weekend of it? Thrift sale season is upon us and the 715 is not holding back with opportunities to thrift and buy local this weekend! Check out a thrift sale, consignment store, artisan market, and back to more thrift sales. We’ve rounded up some of the best ways to shop this weekend. 

East Side Hill Neighborhood Thrift Sale

Scour tons of thrift sales this Saturday, May 20th, on and around the East Side Hill. This area is roughly from Main Street to Margaret Street. In the past, sales have run from about 7am to 5pm, but the sale times are up to each individual seller. North Hill Spring Market

Shop amongst 30+ vendors at the intersection of Dewey and Galloway in Eau Claire for goods you can’t find anywhere else. They’ll also have food and live music. The North Hill Spring Market is sponsored by Hive + Hollow and it’s their first annual market. This market runs from 10am-5pm.

Spring Fling: Home, Yard, and Garden Sale

Head on down to Trinity United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls to shop for knick-sacks, home furnishings, pillows, drapes, wall decor, plants, crafts, antiques, and more. The Lou Carver band will also be playing from 11-1.

Vendors in the Vines Artist/Maker Fair

At River Bend Winery & Distillery in Chippewa Falls, you have the opportunity to grab a glass of wine or a cocktail and shop merchandise from makers and artists. Big Papa BBQ’s food truck will be there as well as live music from Songa. This event runs from 11am-4pm.

Eau Claire Downtown Farmers Market

Shop from local vendors at the Phoenix Park Pavilion for the weekly Farmer’s Market. Enjoy music from local musicians and find breakfast foods, produce, and goods from local growers and makers. It runs 7:30am – 1pm every Saturday of the summer.
