Cheesecakes/Beez Neez Cheesecake and Sweets

You’ve likely heard of beer flights, or wine flights, or even coffee flights. If, by chance, you have not heard of such a flight, it’s usually a piece of wood with small glasses featuring a variety of the stated beverages, so one can sort of taste test with a group of fellow patrons.

A flight need not be restricted to something drinkable. How about something edible? How about a flight of cheesecake? Beez Neez Cheesecake and Sweets does just that.

The Signature Salted Honey cheesecake.

I believe I had heard about Beez Neez, but during one of my recent Rock’N On The River events, I saw their tent and was drawn by, well, a honeybee to a flower. They had a sign topped with a listing of their “Flight” Of Cheesecake: five types of cheesecakes, which match a wood board on the table at the front. Oh, man, a cheesecake flight…

OK, I had to keep myself in check this go-round; knowing I had to take my cheesecake home, I went with a 2pack of Mix & Match Cheesecakes. Asking Carrie — the Beez Neez owner — for the best two to choose, I was pointed towards the Signature Salted Honey and the Triple Berry. I mean, it’s cheesecake, so all choices would be excellent — these were really good calls.

The Triple Berry cheesecake.

The berries on the Triple Berry are locally grown; the layering inside the cheesecake is lavender, red, and cream-colored. Meanwhile, the Signature Salted Honey has that extra bite you get from pure, local honey — via bees at the Beez Neez apiary. You’re getting honey straight from Chippewa Valley bees making its way to the top of a cheesecake.

All the colors within the Triple Berry…

If you want to try a flight, or one of those packs of cheesecakes, go to one of the many area events listed on their website; you can order entire cheesecakes directly from their website (super-cheesecake fan that is my wife, I now have a birthday present idea…I will make sure not to tell her about this entry lest she know my potential plan). This is cheesecake. It is great, it is local; you will be pleased with the bees.
