Frosty Blender/Life Perks Coffee Co

As I type this, I’m on my second day of eating my Frosty Blender. (*pauses for another bite*) Ever wanted something like a Blizzard, but done locally? There are some good options, and today’s option worthy of the spotlight is the aforementioned Frosty Blender from Life Perks Coffee Co in Elk Mound.

The whipped cream conceals the awaiting peanut butter cups.

This thing was LOADED with the mix-in. Now, if you’ve read this blog long-enough, you know I have a thing for chocolate and peanut butter. This preference is almost to the point that it has evolved into my baseline for comparing different area desserts. So, driving-through and getting a couple Frosty Blenders — one for me, one for my wife — and knowing that they happened to have just chocolate ice cream that particular morning — I’m very good with this — I chose peanut butter cups as my mix-in.

I’m not sure how many peanut butter cups (small-sized, of course) were in there, but it felt like I was having about one with each bite. Not all ground-up or chopped into bits — rather, big chunks of peanut butter cups. This was amazeballs with every spoonful. (*pauses for another bite*) Like, this is the pseudo-Blizzard I want.

Eau Claire-ian that I am, I first learned of Life Perks via one of those fundraiser coupon sheets, and it stood out fairly quickly upon my first scan. If you’re learning about them while reading this: they’re a little coffee shop right along West Menomonie Street in Elk Mound, and you order via a drive-through around the back. You can get food, or other items; they have daily features; and their items taste awesome. Plus, small local establishments are always worth frequenting.

So, having a Life Perks mark-off card now in my car, I will have to go back. Plenty of options await, but if I ever have a hankering for loads of peanut butter cups blended with ice cream — and, really, when do I not? — I know what I should order.
