Autumn Candies/Weaver’s Country Store

Candy corn: a staple of fall fun food. Sure, it’s not for everyone, but it’s for me (especially when combined with peanuts — a well-known taste combo). I’d been encouraged to check out Weaver’s Country Store just east of Fall Creek, and when I did the other day, I arrived at the time of the season for all sorts of autumn sweets. I got a few:

An assortment of autumnal candies.

You may have stopped by their current location over the past few years. If you’ve never been there before…do they have bags. So many small bags of bulk candies and nuts and ingredients, you almost cannot figure where to focus your shopping. Really, you’ll need to go multiple times to find all the goodies that you will want to enjoy.

Towards the front of the store were the autumn-oriented items. The candy corn that caught my eye were the blackberry cobbler and the s’mores varieties — in the above photo, you can gather which is on the left and which is on the right. Additionally, there were yogurt-frosted harvest pretzels (seen in the middle above). All of these provide a taste to this time of year.

Plus, this allows a branching-out of my candy corn pallet, particularly with the fruitiness of the blackberry cobbler candy corn. I mentioned the peanuts collab earlier in this writing; try peanuts with those pretzels — you may keep trying in one setting until you run out of one or the other.

Like I noted, there are many, many items to get at Weaver’s, so you really oughta go there — particularly while fall is occurring (and get the homemade cashew crunch — the label says it is delicious, and it sure is!). Even if you’re not all that into candy corn, you may come out with an interest after all.
